Fire Station 10 is located in the Tarrytown neighborhood in West Austin.  Fire Station 10 was the last fire station built prior to World War II.  In fact, three Austin fire stations from this era look almost identical.  Fire Station 10, 11, and 12, but there is an 11 year gap between the construction of Fire Station 10 (1938) and Fire Station 11 (1949) due to the War.

Four Austin firefighters were killed in action fighting for the Armed Services during WWII.  There is a tree and plaque planted in the front yard of Fire Station 10 to honor one of those firefighters, Pinckney Seiders.
